"Surviving 2020/2021 has been a testimony of grace," Annie Idibia reflects on her challenging years of marital crisis
Nollywood actress, Annie Idibia, is taking a moment to reflect on the highly publicized turmoil in her marriage that nearly ended in divorce.
Looking back at the events of 2021, Annie acknowledges that she doesn’t know how she managed to overcome that scandal.
She attributes her survival to grace, recognizing how the universe has always worked in her favor.
“It’s been nothing but grace! The universe is constantly on my side,” she states.
In a voice-over accompanying the video she shares online, Annie admits that she is aware of the things people say about her. However, she has learned to ignore them over the years.
“I am fully aware of everything people say about me. But the difference between now and three years ago is that I simply don’t care anymore,” she remarks.
Just to refresh your memory, Annie not only publicly called out her husband and his baby mama, but she also accused his family of not showing her love and care throughout their marriage.
She went on to claim that 2baba spent nights under the same roof as his children’s mother, Pero Adeniyi, when he visited their kids. She also criticized her brother-in-law, Hyacinth Idibia, for accommodating the singer, his children, and Pero all together.
By mentioning some of 2baba’s friends and manager, Annie made a series of allegations against Pero Adeniyi.
Coming to his brother’s defense, Charles Idibia slammed Annie and accused her of ranting online because she didn’t get her way. This sparked a social media clash between the two, resulting in Annie Idibia removing the ‘Idibia’ surname.
However, the couple managed to reconcile their differences, and last year, 2baba renounced his role model title, publicly apologizing to Annie.
He made it clear that he wasn’t seeking sympathy as he admitted to being a terrible father, husband, and baby daddy, without any excuses for his behavior.
In more recent news, Annie reassured her husband, 2baba Idibia, of her love for him, declaring him as her one and only soulmate.
This assurance came after 2baba expressed his fears of losing his wife to someone else, revealing why he becomes jealous over Annie.
