Recent Cannabis Seizure by the Army


The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Ogun State Command, received 365 pieces of pawpaw-sized wrapped Cannabis Sativa, weighing approximately 176kg, from the Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Aminu, on January 11, 2024.

The suspect was apprehended during a routine patrol on January 6, 2024, at Olodo Imeko along the Imeko-Abeokuta Road in Ogun State.

The Garrison Commander, Colonel Legborsi Nule, represented the Commander and affirmed the Brigade’s ongoing collaboration with security agencies to combat crime, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining high standards and professionalism among troops.

Commandant Jane Odili of NDLEA Ogun State Command commended the Brigade’s efforts and urged for increased collaboration with the military and other security agencies in the state.
