Nigeria Immigration Service Celebrates Graduates and Promotions
Graduating from the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, are fifty-five newly recruited officers and fifty-two senior officers who have been promoted to various positions at the NIS Enugu State Command.
During the passing out parade of the newly recruited personnel and decoration of promoted officers at the Command on Thursday, Mrs Azuka Halliday, the Assistant Comptroller General, made this known.
The total number of graduates amounts to 55, comprising 27 males and 28 females, according to Halliday.
In her address, Halliday urged the newly recruited personnel to view their enlistment into the service as a call to duty to serve their country with patriotism, discipline, determination, selflessness, and integrity.
She also advised them to recognize the privilege of being among the recruited officers and to be more proactive and committed in their duties.
Highlighting the achievements of the promoted personnel, she emphasized that they had performed exceptionally well in their previous positions, leading to their well-deserved promotions.
She emphasized the expectations placed on the promoted officers, stating, “This is the period to ensure that we manage our borders properly. We should ensure we do our best with transparency.”
