Born on September 29, 1948, Mike Pinera is an American guitarist who embarked on his professional journey in the late 1960s as part of the band Blues Image, renowned for their 1970 hit track “Ride Captain Ride”. Following the group’s disbandment, he joined Iron Butterfly and later established the band Ramatam. Pinera went on to co-found the band New Cactus, an evolved version of Cactus.
