Breaking News: Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Battle with 1501 Certified Is Over
After a tumultuous 3-year legal battle, rapper Megan Thee Stallion has officially ended her relationship with her record label 1501 Certified and its boss, Carl Crawford.
According to Billboard, the parting of ways between Megan and 1501 is amicable, concluding years of public disputes on social media.
Their relationship grew strained in 2020 when Megan accused the Houston-based label of impeding her from releasing music and fulfilling her contract.
It’s uncertain if any monetary settlement was involved in ending the deal. However, Crawford’s attitude towards Megan softened earlier this year following the guilty verdict of Tory Lanez for shooting her.
Crawford also publicly expressed regret for his involvement in the conflicts with Megan, including negative comments about her Roc Nation boss, Jay-Z, and introduced his new label president, Kai “Verse” Tyler, to TMZ Hip Hop back in February.
