Jack Gilinsky is not among the celebrities who have risen to the top through effort and hard work. The fame, fortune, fame, distinction and eminence Jack enjoys today actually stem from his relationship with Jack Jackson, his childhood friend and musical partner. In 2007, Jack Gilinsky began his acting career when he and Jackson launched their first YouTube channel, “MotherFalconQuagmire.”
Although the duo’s slew of videos were recorded in their spare time, the videos garnered an overwhelming number of viewers, subscribers and fans to their channel. The friends continued to enjoy their fame on a small scale until they started high school.
Gripped by college curricula and programs, Jacket Jack began paying little to no attention to their fledgling YouTube channel. Shortly after, the channel, which featured satirical content like lip-synched music videos, short parodies of popular songs and British-language boys, went dark.
After a stint in high school, precisely in 2013, Jack Jackson opened an account on the Vine app, where he posted his first vines (including the I Never Miss series) under his name. Soon after, Gilinsky began making appearances on his childhood friend’s Vine account. The duo then rebranded the account as Jack and Jack, giving their careers new life.
The childhood friends took their career to the next level by identifying with the Meet and Greet convention (MAGCON Boys), a group of teenage boys who became famous on Vine. Shawn Mendes, Cameron Dallas, Nash Grier, Tylor Ganiff and Aaron Carpenter are some of the big names at Magcon.
Today, Gilinsky and Jackson are doing well as musicians — a career they embarked on in 2013 after scoring impressive success on Vine. Best Friends have also embarked on several groundbreaking tours, the most significant of which is their 2014 DigiTour Jack and Jack 18-city tour across the United States.

Gilinsky was born on September 10, 1996, to Katherine Finnegan (mother) and David Gilinsky (father) in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was raised with his two older sisters. Her father, David, was of Jewish descent while her mother converted to Judaism shortly after walking down the aisle with her husband.
Jacks’ immediate older sister, Molly (born 1992) is an internet queen who made a name for herself as a professional fashion video blogger while Laura, her second daughter, was born in 1994. She is two more than artist Jack Gilinsky.
